Rökstólar have been involved in facilitating 2 long-term educational Strategic partnership projects funded by ERASMUS plus scheme:

1, SHE EMPOWERS

is a 3-year international project (September 2014 - September 2017) funded by European Commission´s programme related to adult education. There are 6 partners involved (1x Spain, 1x Italy, 1x Belgium, 1x Sweden,  1x France and us in Iceland) and Rökstólar are responsible for facilitating the project on the Icelandic side.

The aim of the project is to figure out what new aspects of support system for unemployed women should be developed further in terms of cross-sector cooperation so that their available resources such as time, money and staff are used more efficiently, reaching women in their local communities. The focus of our work lies in innovative training and educational programmes.

2, SELF-DIRECTED LEARNING FOR EMPLOYMENT AND EMPLOYABILITY

is a 2-year international project (September 2014 - September 2016funded by European Commission´s programme related to adult education. There are 5 partners involved (1x Turkey, 2x Italy, 1x Belgium, and us in Iceland) and Rökstólar are responsible for facilitating the project on the Icelandic side.

The aim of the project is to increase employability by using innovative ways fostering holistic development of a person and enhancing their Learning to learn competences.  The focus lies in Action Reasearch and  running experimental learning space based on Self-directed learning principles for long-term unemployeds.
